I was just accepted into Seattle Mountain Rescue (SMR), a Search and Rescue organization that specializes in high-angle (ie-mountain) rescue. I am super, super excited, not to mention a little shocked.

Caroline Island Blind Passage
Few boats have ever sailed through this blind pass of Caroline Island, like a cul-de-sac. Maybe as few as five in the last fifteen years. The seas are often confused and the visibility poor.
