Shoshone Spire in Blodgett was fantastic. [III 5.9 6p]. Perfect day. Also now back to Plan A: heading north to Glacier, Banff, and the Bugaboos. Conditions have improved. Currently in Helena with Stu and Chels and the Hillmans. Fantastic time.
Few boats have ever sailed through this blind pass of Caroline Island, like a cul-de-sac. Maybe as few as five in the last fifteen years. The seas are often confused and the visibility poor. I had a friend, Hugh, up on the spreaders, directing me on the VHF; you can hear him in the background. Herbert is commentating.
