Internet readers tend to like shorter posts, smaller bites, and definitions of unfamiliar terms immediately.
If you're not writing, hoping for a large audience, really all is excellent. You're entertaining your friends, I'm sure.
Some more color, maybe a larger more consistent font would be good and more photos. I'd even show the boat at least every other post, it's really something to see and helps relate.
Since you like travel and solitude, may I suggest:
Few boats have ever sailed through this blind pass of Caroline Island, like a cul-de-sac. Maybe as few as five in the last fifteen years. The seas are often confused and the visibility poor. I had a friend, Hugh, up on the spreaders, directing me on the VHF; you can hear him in the background. Herbert is commentating.
