I am so jealous! You are only about 15 hours down the road and look at what you have. What do we have? Mud. Lots and lots of Mud. No leaves, few flowers that are brave enough to peek out, but mostly, mud.
Few boats have ever sailed through this blind pass of Caroline Island, like a cul-de-sac. Maybe as few as five in the last fifteen years. The seas are often confused and the visibility poor. I had a friend, Hugh, up on the spreaders, directing me on the VHF; you can hear him in the background. Herbert is commentating.
